We all know that we should be eating more veggies, even those of you who would rather be eating pizza. What if we told you that you can do both and enjoy doing it too? True story.
At The Naked Bite it’s our intention to reveal how versatile and delicious plant-inspired recipes can be, no matter who you are, or your level of culinary prowess. Eating more fruits, vegetables, nuts and other earthy bound goodies can excite your palate and help your body, mind and the environment thrive. Not every “diet” is right for every body but one thing is sure, everyone can benefit from eating more plants. Whether you are looking to lose weight, address allergies/health concerns or simply just eat better, we are here to show you how, and turn on your tastebuds doing it!
Balance is key, and you can also enjoy a range of quality and ethical animal proteins in moderation, if that’s your jam. At The Naked Bite we cook it all, but our mission through our recipes, videos and chef services is to help make plants the BEST thing on your plate, so that you’ll want to choose them more often, and love eating them one NAKED bite at a time!
Chef Amber Antonelli
Growing up in a foodie family, Amber has been cooking since she was a kid. This passion and awareness for food grew quickly into her life-long career. Through her company The Naked Bite, she connects people with dynamic, conscious cuisine that is unique and exciting to eat. While deeply rooted in her veggies, Amber adopts a more “qualitarian” approach to her eating and she certainly splurges on occasion is well versed in cooking all styles of food. She has a holistic approach to eating and life in general, believing that balance is paramount. She does always feel best when eating a primarily plant-based diet and she strives to turn people on to how delicious that can be!
Food has made a huge impact on Amber’s life and who she is today. Having spent significant time in many parts of the World, Amber believes that little is more descriptive of culture or a person, than how one eats. She would prefer to spend the day wandering a foreign market rather than a museum, learning about the culture through the ingredients. Amber’s adventures abroad have exposed her to array of cuisines and techniques that are ever present in her craft. These travels have also highlighted how important connection to food is and really helped her reevaluate her approach to cooking as a whole.
A Northern California native, Amber has been cooking professionally since she left high school early to study cooking and never looked back, working her way through fine dining, catering, personal cheffing and teaching. Fun Fact: In 2005, Amber created Toasted Coconut Sesame Brittle Ice Cream that became a flavor for the Häagen Dazs Reserve line.
She currently lives in Austin with her husband Anthony and their two children Isabel & Stanley (their kitties.)
