Our Philosophy

The Naked Bite offers both public and private cooking classes, personal chef services, boutique catering and pantry makeovers in select cities across the United States. By focusing on local, organic and ethical ingredients, we create vibrant and flavorful, vegetable-inspired meals that boost our whole being—body, mind and spirit.

With globally inspired foods packed with vibrancy in color and flavor, our dishes are far from the Standard American Diet (SAD). We pride ourselves on using primarily fresh whole ingredients with no artificial or preserved anything.

Our teachings extend to both private clients and students. We underline the importance of treating food—and where it’s sourced from—with reverence and integrity, to be mindful about putting intention and positive energy into our dishes, and to spread the word that vegetables are not only nourishing, but deeply satisfying to the taste buds and to our overall health.

Our mission is to empower people, through culinary education, chef services and thought leadership, to bring more fresh, healthy and delicious plant-friendly proteins and vegetables into their lives. It is possible to easily create real food with real ingredients, from scratch, in the comfort of your own kitchen, we can show you how!

Everyone is welcome at The Naked Bite! A common thread tying our clients together is the simple desire to add more plant-based, nourishing foods to their day. All types of people with diverse tastes can utilize our services. The Naked Bite is not tied to one specific diet. Though other culinary services may offer vegan, paleo or raw food-only options, we allow each client flexibility within our overall goals and purpose.

And we believe that balance is key.

We advocate using a range of quality and ethical animal proteins in moderation, if that’s your jam. At The Naked Bite, we cook it all, but our mission through recipes, videos, training and personal chef services is to help make plants the best thing on your plate—so you’ll want to choose them more often, and love eating them one NAKED bite at a time!

Whether you’re looking to lose weight, address allergies or health concerns, or you’re simply wanting to have more diversity and fun with food, we are here to show you how you can turn your taste buds on doing it!

 

Chef Amber Antonelli

The Naked Bite Founder Chef Amber Antonelli—who grew up in a ‘foodie’ family, has been cooking since childhood, and became a professional chef after high school—additionally features online recipes and video instruction, as well as conscious culinary consulting and coaching.

While deeply rooted in her veggies, Amber adopts a more “qualitarian” approach to her eating and she certainly splurges on occasion is well versed in cooking all styles of food. She has a holistic approach to eating and life in general, believing that balance is paramount. She does always feel best when eating a primarily plant-based diet and she strives to turn people on to how delicious that can be!

“We love to reveal how versatile and delicious plant-inspired recipes can be,” she says. “Eat mindfully—mostly plants—your body and the planet will thank you!”

A Northern California native, Amber has been cooking professionally since she left high school early to study cooking and never looked back, working her way through fine dining, catering, personal cheffing and teaching. Fun Fact: In 2005, Amber created Toasted Coconut Sesame Brittle Ice Cream that became a flavor for the Häagen Dazs Reserve line.
